This prize-winning three part cappella group originally from Soweto mixes a dazzling combination of musical styles comprising of township jazz, hip hop, Afro-Soul and Afro-Pop. The music is supported by a great cadenced vocal bass and beat boxing even though the other two singers deliver the choral and polyphonic top notes. The past several years THE SOIL has been touring intercontinentally including guesting at the Apollo Theatre Harlem and performing at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Afrovibes music evenings are famed for their dynamism and great hums - this year will be no exemption!
